Viesturs Jansons finished the Riga School
of Choreography in 1976, the same year he started to work as a dancer in the Latvian Opera
Theatre, in 1991 in the Estonia Theatre. His repertoire includes all the leading roles of
classical ballet: Prince in Nutcracker, Desire in The Sleeping Beauty,
Count Albert in Giselle, Basil in Don Quixote. In addition to the classical
roles Viesturs Jansons has also danced successfully Caesar in Anthony and Cleopatra
by E. Lazarev, Jose in Carmen by Biset-Schedrin, Mandarin in The Miraculous
Mandarin.
Viesturs Jansons has performed in France, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Italy, Spain, Finland, Germany, Great Britain, Egypt and in the countries of Central America and Asia. |
